![]() ![]() ![]() This was, I thought, completely fantastic and had a really great kick. The one thing I did order this time that was new: a delightful appetizer, one jar of pickles and one of pickled carrots, cauliflower, and other veggies. Incidentally, if you can’t find street parking on 13th or Cowart – and I think that you should, most times – or if you’re a dimwit like me and leave the house without any coins for the meters, there’s a pay lot right behind the restaurant that takes plastic. I had the day off, and a blissful morning all to myself to watch television and read before moseying downtown. I mentioned to Matt that Urban Stack was on my revisit list and asked whether he’d like to meet up there. Our friends Darius, Matt, and Kelley have a Black Friday tradition of coming to Chattanooga, eating well somewhere, and visiting two favorite establishments: the Hot Chocolatier and McKay Books. I think that might have cooled somewhat, but Urban Stack remains incredibly popular and there’s almost always a crowd. We visited four years ago ( here’s the story), when there was a lot of online buzz about the place. In fact, it was originally constructed as the baggage claim building for people taking passenger trains into the city back during the heyday of rail travel. It’s a really nice old building just a short walk from the Choo-Choo. ![]() Urban Stack is one of Chattanooga’s best-known burger places. Usually when we do a revisit post, it’s because we have some new experiences, a fresh eye, or at least something different on the menu about which we can write. ![]()
